Fox News’ Laura Ingraham Reassures JD Vance He’s Actually a ‘Really Funny’ Person

The Fox News host tells the Senate candidate he has comedic chops – as long as he keeps his day job.

Laura Ingraham’s recent interview with JD Vance was full of surprises, not least of which was her assertion that the Senate candidate is actually a “really funny” person.

Ingraham made the comment during a segment on her show, The Ingraham Angle, in which she praised Vance for his “great sense of humor.”

“I think you’re secretly a comedian,” Ingraham told Vance. “You’re really funny.”

Vance, who is running for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Ohio, laughed and said he appreciated the compliment.

“I’m glad you think so,” Vance said.

Ingraham’s comments came as a surprise to some, given Vance’s serious demeanor and policy-oriented campaign.

But Vance has shown a lighter side on occasion, including during a recent appearance on the podcast Armchair Expert, in which he joked about his “weird” name and his love of the band Phish.

Ingraham’s interview with Vance was wide-ranging, covering topics such as the upcoming midterm elections, the war in Ukraine, and the economy.

But it was Ingraham’s comment about Vance’s comedic chops that stole the show.

“You’re a really funny guy,” Ingraham said.

“As long as you don’t quit your day job,” she added.
